Abandoned Gas Station
Abandoned Gas Station is an old service station on the outskirts of Sala City, now a quiet relic of the past. Though long since closed, it remains a place charged with personal meaning for Flops, who spent parts of his childhood there when it was still open.
Overview
History
- Served as a local hangout for young Flops, who recalls its bright neon lights and dusty vending machines.
- When the pair were younger, Dook and Flops used to stop there for snacks and conversation before the building fell into disrepair.
- In Nostalgic Matter, it’s implied the station may exist simultaneously in memory and the Dreamlands, blending the two.
In Lore
- Represents lost time and the bittersweet nature of change — a recurring motif across several episodes.
- Its sign occasionally flickers to life when Dook or Flops pass by, as if recognizing them.
Trivia
- The soda machine still hums faintly, even without power.
- Flops once claimed the dust “smells like a summer that forgot to end.”
- A graffiti heart on the back wall reads “DO + F = OK,” origin unknown.
